Tracey Camacho, MA, RP

Registered Psychotherapist

Born and raised in Montreal, I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from McGill University. With over 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist, I support clients in managing complex emotions, healing from trauma, and moving toward more meaningful and fulfilling lives.

I specialize in working with individuals affected by gender-based violence and have spent the past 18 years collaborating with community agencies to provide psychotherapy and education to both victims and perpetrators of intimate partner violence. While I am deeply committed to supporting those impacted by abuse, my work extends to anyone navigating emotional struggles, life transitions, or grief and loss.

My approach is grounded in compassion, guided by evidence-based techniques, and rooted in a strong belief in each client’s capacity for growth and resilience.

Fun Fact: I’m a big fangirl who loves sci-fi, fantasy, and all things pop culture—Fan Expo is my happy place. And yes, I truly believe that “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”

If we work together, here’s what you may begin to notice:

  • You start to feel more in control of your emotions.

  • You begin to release patterns rooted in past pain.

  • You gain the clarity to make intentional, empowered choices.

  • You feel more connected—to yourself and to those around you.

  • You begin to heal from what once felt impossible to carry.

  • You reclaim your voice, your boundaries, and your path forward.

I know that reaching out for support can feel daunting—but you're not alone. My role is to offer you a space that feels safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, where your story can unfold at your own pace.

With over 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist, I’ve had the honour of walking alongside clients as they navigate grief, trauma, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, and periods of deep transition. My approach is grounded in respect, collaboration, and a deep belief in your capacity for growth and resilience.

I have a particular specialization in supporting individuals affected by gender-based violence, including survivors of intimate partner abuse and those working to break cycles of harm. For nearly two decades, I’ve partnered with community organizations to provide both therapeutic support and education to clients impacted by violence—whether as victims or perpetrators.

While this work is a core part of my practice, I also support people from all walks of life who are facing emotional challenges, life transitions, or simply seeking to live with more meaning and connection.

I draw on a range of evidence-based, trauma-informed modalities, tailored to meet your unique needs and experiences. You deserve care that honours your story and empowers your next steps.
