Peyman Moghimi, BSc. (Psychology), MSW Student
Student Therapist
I believe in working together and learning from one-another to find unique, and authentic pathways through life that are in line with your values, hopes, and strengths. My passion lies in learning more about the human experience of life together, so I always approach clients as partners and teachers during the counselling journey.
Professionally, I am greatly interested in exploring the intersections between religious practices and concepts in therapy, and combining them to provide culturally, and spiritually appropriate coping strategies. I have worked with different people from many walks of life, but if I had to pick a favourite population, it would be working with students.
As a student therapist with Francis Psychotherapy, I will be working under the direct and close supervision of practice owner, Roxanne Francis, Social Worker & Psychotherapist. I obtained an Honours BSc. in Psychology from York University and a certificate in rehabilitation from Seneca College. I am currently completing my master’s in social work at the University of Toronto.
Outside of work, I love to exercise, weightlifting at the gym, rock climbing, or running and playing tennis outside when the Toronto weather allows. I am also a big foodie and always try and experience new and different foods and drinks from various cultures. I also have a near encyclopedic knowledge of the lord of the rings and star wars universes, as some of my favourite books and movies belong in them.
