Fatima Fatima
MSW Student
Student Therapist
I am a Master of Social Work (MSW) student with a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Care. As a student therapist with Francis Psychotherapy, I work under the direct supervision of Roxanne Francis, Social Worker & Psychotherapist. My academic journey and field experience have equipped me with a strong foundation in trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice. I have worked closely with newcomers and refugees, providing psychosocial support, resources, and guidance to help individuals and families adapt and thrive in new environments.
My placements in healthcare settings, schools, newcomer programs, and community organizations have deepened my commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practice. I am passionate about supporting clients in ways that honour their lived experiences, strengths, and cultural identities.
Outside of work: I enjoy traveling to new places, reading a wide range of books, and experimenting with new recipes. I also deeply value spending time with family and friends, which helps me stay grounded and balanced in both my personal and professional life.
