Beverly Grant, MSW, RSW

Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist

Beverly has been practicing therapy for about 15 years with a master’s degree in social work. She has worked extensively with youth who have had conflict with the law, along with the challenges that their families face navigating the system and the complexity that it comes with. Beverly has also coached individuals with ADHD, assisting them with tools to help them navigate where they feel challenged.

Beverly works with adolescents, young adults, and adults who have experienced challenging life circumstances. She works with individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, grief, stress, abuse and domestic violence.

Beverly uses a variety of approaches, catering each therapy session to the individual focusing on what their strengths and needs are. She loves to equip her clients with skills and tools to help them manage the challenges that life brings them with approaches such as DBT, CBT and EMDR. Beverly loves to use humor (of course when appropriate) and creativity, and enjoys laughing with her clients, as laughter can often be one of our best resources. She is dedicated to creating a safe space for clients where they feel like they can be themselves and discover more of who they are and who they want to be.

Beverly believes that as a woman of color she has moved though the world in a unique way and it has given her a remarkable perspective on life and the challenges that being someone of color experiences. Her perspective gives her passion about helping give her clients their voice, their choice and their power.

Beverly is also a Christian and believes all are loved and important. Upon request, Beverly will incorporate Christian components into sessions such as prayer and bible reading. She will also give individuals a safe space to share their faith and the struggles that sometimes happen in the Christian walk.
